My dad decided that the light switch was too far away in this storage/work bench weird area in an unfinished part of their place. Problem solved

In high school, I tried to rig a pulley system that would allow me to control my light switch from my bed. I gave up when I realized that would compromise the ability to use the light switch like normal.

There’s a switch inexplicably on the ceiling in my parents’ basement, with a stick hanging right where you’d expect with a U-shaped top part and a nail through the top of the U for pulling it down. I mean, the time spent making the stick could have been spent moving the switch down, no?
